Cathy Baxter
Biography
Cathy Baxter specialised in illustration while taking a degree in graphic design at Leeds Polytechnic. She has worked as an illustrator for over twelve years, illustrating children's books, games and magazines as well as greetings cards. Her clients include BBC Worldwide Ltd, Unicef, Heinemann and Cambridge University Press.
Her illustrations mainly in watercolour with the addition of chalk pastel, are characterised by the use of strong, bright colours and simple designs often featuring animals. She is also a keen printmaker and is currently studying at the London College of Printing. Her prints have been exhibited at the Fresh Art Fair in Islington and R K Burt's Gallery in Borough, East London.
